Last 7 Questions!

Note: This will be my last 7 Questions post! New ideas are a-brewin. See below for explaination!
A big THANK YOU to Gentri Lee for making all these 7 Question posts possible!

Jake and I last year on Halloween. It snowed!!

1. Do you believe in ghosts?
You bet I do! I'm a spiratual person, not so much religious, but I def think there are some tortured souls in the world...of the ghost variety...I also believe in aliens.

2. Do you prefer the cute or the scary Halloween?
In reference to Halloween movies, I prefer scary. Cute Halloween movies are just silly ;)
I reference to Halloween costumes, I would probably say...neither? I love Halloween but I have such a hard tiem dressing up in the stereotypical girl wear (coughcough skanky coughcough) so Halloween is hard for me.
3. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating?
Honestly, I only went Trick or Treating a couple times as a kid, that I can remember. I think I stopped in middle school. Is that a normal time?

4. Do you have any fun Halloween traditions?
I love, LOVE carving pumpkins. I also love Halloween baking. I think my favorite tradition would be watching scary movies or going somewhere festive, like a pumpkin patch. However, I am not a fan of haunted things....I like being scared in my living room, not in haunted houses, corn mazes or pumpkin patches.

5. Share a scary local urban legend.
Okay this isn't a local urban legend to where I am right now (Toronto) but this is a ghost story that I personally experienced when I was a teenage:
I did a lot fo community theater in Canby, OR, which is a small farming town a few miles south of my hometown. The summer group always grew close and we'd have regular sleep overs at a particular house way out in the country (I'm talking WAY OUT). It was always fun, candy, movies, trampolining, staying up late, etc. And the house was so old, the mom told stories of ghost sighting. No joke, guys.
One particular sleep over, I was sleeping with about 7 other people in the living room, while other people were sleeping in various bedrooms and den's. I distinctly remember waking up at one point in the night hearing a woman singing. It wasn't too loud, I couldn't make out words, but there was absolutely a voice coming down the stairs. I remember pluggin my ears and willing myseld back to sleep because I was scared. The next morning, I asked literally everyone if they'd heard it too or if anyone was singing or had a TV on in the night. One person said they heard singing too but thought it was a TV but nobody had left the TV on. I was SO CREEPED OUT. To this day. I had some creepy experiences in that house...

6. Would you rather be haunted or haunting?
After soem great thought, I think I'd rather be haunted because I 'd want to be able to help the ghost settle whatever it is that they have to settle. While, haunting would mean that I was a lost soul that couldn't rest. But I'm not denying that haunted wouldn't be crazy scary.

7. What's your favorite Halloween character/ creature? (dracula, witch, ghost, etc)
Ghosts. By far. Ghosts and anything old. I love it. Witches are cool too.
Okay you guys, this is my last 7 Questions. The blog that I get these from (Gentri Lee) feels as though her blog is growing in a different direction and I support her! So in that case, I think I'm going to take my blog in a different direction as well. It may be a few weeks for me to get my idea off the ground, but it should be fun! I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, I'll fill Wednesday's with awesome, random things...like I usually do.
Thanks for following 7 Question Wednesdays!

7 Questions: #14

It's 7 questions time! Check out Gentri Lee for her answers and link up!
Over the weekend, Jake wore a silly hat....so I mocked him...
with some glasses we found on the sidewalk ahah

1. Who is your celebrity doppelganger?
I've gotten the same three celebrity look-a-likes my entire life. And they are flattering, I think. I always get Anne Hathaway, which I LOVE. Especially when I cut my bangs for the first time. I also get Jennifer Connelly and Molly Shannon, which I love.

2. What's the farthest you've ever been from home?

To live or to visit? I've been to England before, which I guess would technically be the furthest but I live currently in Toronto, Ontario in Canada. So that'd def be the furthest I've ever lived before.

3. Fill in the blank: Fall ______. Sweaters...?

4. Would you rather have arms so long they touched the ground or feet the same length as your legs?

I....am....not....really sure....how to answer.....this ques...tion....I have been asked to amend my answer to this question and I think I came up with a good solution! I would have arms that touched the ground, cause then at least I could cross them and they wouldn't look so strange!

5. What is the first thing you do in the morning?

Put the coffee on. Then I brush my teeth. but must...have...coffee...

6. Apple Cider or Hot Chocolate?

Hot chocolate. I'm not a huge fan of hot apples...I don't like apple pie either..I know, I know I fail as an American....

7. Would you rather start your life over (baby) or jump to the end of it (old-->death)?

Neither! I want to LIVE it day to day!! Haha!!! I honestly, however, can't wait till I'm old and I can look back at my life and remember all the amazing adventures I've had.

7 Questions: #13

I think I've posted this before but I just love it so.

1. Describe your perfect day:
My perfect day begins without an alarm clock. To begins with some fresh coffee and pancakes. Followed by from productive blogging then a nice long work out. After a refreshing shower, I put on something that makes me feel good and pretty. The afternoon is filled with bike riding and picture taking, maybe lunch at a cute cafe on the lake. The evening approaches, bringing a good meal and drinks with friends. Good food, good friends, good conversation and good music. The perfect ending to the perfect day.

Now all I need are the friends :-/

2. What was something you were afraid of as a child?
My fear has actually spilt over into adulthood, too. When I was a kid, my dad made my sister and I raised beds. They were three feet off the ground and had drawers under them. Great for storage. When I was a kid, however, I was always afraid of letting my feet or hands hang off the side of the bed. I always thought someone or something would grab them. That fear is something I still have!

3. What is something you are afraid of today?
While I am still afraid of the normal things for me, deep water, heights, falling etc. I have this one that has developed over the past year or so since I moved to a more metropolitan area. I occasionally get these day dreams that some crazy street person gets on the subway and holds it hostage. Basically, sometimes I get scared that I'm going to get killed. It's nothing that gives me social anxiety or prohibits me from taking the subway everyday, but something I think about it and it gives me chills. There are crazy people out there and I hope I can go my whole life without meeting one. (Sorry for being morbid...)

4. Would you rather be obsessed with yourself or someone else?
Both would make people not like you. While I wouldn't want to seem narcissistic, I would rather be obsessed with myself then someone else. You can't really get into trouble with the law for being obsessed with yourself after all...

5. What is your favorite restaurant that you could visit over and over and never get sick of?
The first that came to mind was this little pizza place that opened back in my home town. Mi Famiglia. It's a family run little place that doesn't seat very many but my parents have gotten to know the owners and now going there is one of my favorite things to do when I go home. Everything is fresh and tastes like mom just made it. And I love their hand tossed pizza. It's just so delicious.

6. What is one food that you used to hate but now enjoy?
Man, I've had so many experiences where I used to hate something and now I love it. I used to hate mushrooms but I'm starting to love them. I still can't eat them raw or in big chunks (it's a texture thing) but I love putting them in everything.

7. Fill in the blank: Star (Struck)

7 Questions: #12

It's Wednesday again! That means it's time to link up with Gentri Lee for 7 Questions! Go check out her answer too!

I'm addicted to The Newsroom. Kelen Coleman was doing a live chat online and I got to ask her a question! I think we're friends now :)
1. Do you ever have reoccurring dreams?
Funny you ask! When I was a little girl, I had this reoccurring nightmare all the time. I lived in this tree fort city somewhere in the amazon (this was around the time when I was addicted to playing Riven, the computer game that was the sequel to Myst. Please tell me someone knows what I'm talking about...) Every night there was this TRex that would attack the city and chase me around. The only way to get away from the dino was to give it a can of beets. See, I hate beets and my mom used to (and still does) make beets all the time.

2. It's the first day of Fall (or Spring for you southern hemispherers) in a few days, what are you looking forward to most?
Boots. I'm wearing them today actually. It's raining. I'm happy. And pumpkins. I like pumpkins.

3. Because a lack of coordination, would you rather not be able to tie your shoes or cut your own food?
Tie my shoes. I don't remember the last time I had shoes that tied...except my running shoes but I still just slip those on.

4. Would you rather live in a house made entirely of glass or a house with no windows?
Glass. I love the dark, true, but I could NOT live without light.

5. Would you rather walk on you toes or heels forever?
Toes. I'm used to that!

6. What's your favorite sense? (you have 5 btw)
Taste. Wait...hearing. Wait...taste. Wait.....sight. Crap.

7. What's your favorite movie quote of all time?
Oh my god you cannot simply ask me to narrow it down to one. You are talking to the girl who has memorized at least every rom com in the book.

And here's a cute movie for your troubles :)

7 Questions: # 11

In my attempts to reorganize my life, I've decided to make the 7 Question posts a regular thing! I remember when I stumbled across them on Gentri Lee's blog and just fell in love! I also think it's a fun way to link up! Follow her link above or below to link up!

How I feel about this election.

1. Do you have any weird food combinations that you love? I really love dill pickles and yellow mustard. Don't ask why, I have no reason for my madness!

2. Have you ever written a blog post, published it, then immediately deleted it? All the time, man, all the time. Actually, I mostly start them with a really awesome idea then the idea just kind of peters out and I lost my inspiration. I HATE when that happens.

3. What is a hair style you wish you could pull off, but would never be brave enough to try? Anything short. I love love short hair but I don't think I can pull it off. I think it'd make me look bottom heavy.

4. Would you rather have to always use the sun to tell the time or directions by the stars? Oh boy, I personally wouldn't be good at either!!! Maybe the using the sun because then at least I would know when night was haha!

5. What is a fall trend that you are excited to try? Skinny jeans and boots. I got on that bandwagon a little too late last year and I'm desperate for the weather to change so I can wear my boots!

6. Who is your style icon? Hmm...I don't really have anyone by name but I really like getting inspiration from my fellow bloggers, honestly. I feel like when I see an outfit or something I like on a blog, it's more realistic to acheive. Does that makes sense?

7. What's your favourite outdoor activity? I love camping and riding my bike. Bike's probably first on the list. So much fun!

7 Questions: Number 10!

It's Wednesday and you know what that means! It's time for 7 random questions brought to you by Gentri Lee! Share your answers with me below or visit her page and link up!

I love morning work outs!

1. Bold or Understated?
Bold. I want to stand out, not be forgotten till later!

2. You have to survive alone in the wild and you only get to take one thing with you. Your choices are: A Pocket Knife, a Water Bottle, or a Book. Which do you choose and why?
Oooooo good question!!! My first instinct is a pocket knife. It would allow me to do a little more then the book and the water bottle. If I've learned anything from The Hunger Games and Survivor is that you can drink water with leaves and find dry leaves for fires. But a knife gives you a leg up!

3. Thirty Two Cows, Seven Eight Chickens, How Many Didn't?
Uh...25?

4. Would you rather die doing one legendary act of service or do small acts of kindness that may go unnoticed every day?
Several small acts each day...mainly because I do that now! I think that I rather die knowing I was kind all the time then just once.

5. Happiness is ________. (one word; fill in the blank)
Warm gun Sorry I've been listening to The Beatles all day! Happiness is...wow...is it sad that I am having a problem answering this???

6. Can you laugh with out smiling?
Yes I can.

7. Do you pop your knuckles?
Yes I do.

7 Questions: Numba 9!

Holy smokes it's been MONTHS since my last 7 questions! As you know, I'm linking up with Gentri Lee for these fun questions!! And it's gotta start with a fun photo!

[Since it's the back to school 7 questions, I thought I'd post a picture me from college....here I am eating cake with Robert Downey Jr. No biggie ;) )

1. It's back to school time! Are YOU going back to school?
I wish I was. I miss school like crazy. You don't realize how awesome being in school is until you face the real world...and jobs...and bills..*shudder*

2. Speaking of back to school... You receive 10 pts if you can name this movie:
"Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address. On the other hand, this not knowing has its charms." Even though I had access to the answer, I did not look and I did NOT guess it right haha!

3. Who did you hang out with in school? Cool kids, jocks, nerds, were you a loner, etc? (all are welcome here- btw)
I hung out with the theater crowd mostly. My freshman year I played lacrosse but never really hung out with the crowd. It was the theater wing for me!

4. What was your favorite subject in school?
If we're talking college, I'd say my journalism classes. I loved them. But in high school it was theater or writing. I just love writing!

5. (I've asked this question before, but it was a while ago) If you had to go back and redo one of the following, which would you choose and why? Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, High School, College?
While my instincts say high school, I think I'd want to redo college. I made a few mistakes and would want to fix them. Plus I think I would have chosen to go into writing sooner then I did and not waste my time on theater in college.

6. Home/ Packed Lunch or School Lunch?
Home packed almost everyday of my life!

7. What's more exciting? The first day of school or the last day of school?
Um...I think their are equally exciting!! I love the first day because of the new clothes, the new supplies, seeing everyone again. But the last day is AMAZING for obvious reasons!

7 Questions: #8

Wow, it's been a grip of time since I've done this!
Lets get it started!

Ladies, who feels me??

1. What do you do when you're sick? (Do you act like a baby? Tough it out? Have any weird cravings? Cry?)

I'm probably the biggest baby there it. No joke. Then I get mean, because I don't feel well and it must be everyone else's fault, no?

2. What do you do to find motivation when you feel you've lost it?
Honestly? Music, movies or blogs. When I'm feeling low, I usually just want to lay in bed and do nothing. Subsequently, I end up watching TV or movies and most of the time I watch something that subconsciously motivates me!

3. Do you wish time away or do you savor every moment?
I do both. I have lazy days and I have days where I savor everything but I think it's ok to do both :)

4. If you could be any mythological creature, what would you be, and why?
At first, I would say mermaid like Gentri, but I feel like there has got to be something out there that was totally bad ass...

5. What is your current biggest weakness and are you working on fixing it?
I think one of my biggest weaknesses would be my lack of self confidence. I think if I had just a little more of it then a lot of things would be different. I don't really know how to work on it. I try and stay positive and happy thinking that'll bring more of it...any suggestions??

6. How do you greet someone when meeting them for the first time?
Usually: Hey, I'm Freya, it's nice to meet you! Then I find something on their immediate person and ask a question about it, like their hair or if they're wearing a piece of jewelry or something. It breaks the ice :)

7. How do you grocery shop? (Do you write up a list? Go in with no idea what you're looking for? Have meal plans? Bring your own shopping bags?)
I usually make a list but then forget it. I take my bags when I remember to, which is actually pretty often and most of the time I have a meal in mind...lets face it, I love cooking so going shopping is a lot of fun to me :)

7 Questions: #6

And it's Wednesday woo woo wooo!

2. What is the best trip you have EVER been on?
2nd place goes to the spring break I spent in Vancouver, BC. That was great! 1st would be when I went to Tennessee with my boyfriend and his frat and all their girlfriends. It was warm and there were friends and BBQing and (if I'm being honest) drinking and just awesome memories.

3. If you could have an exotic pet, what would it be and why?
I want a baby elephant!

I think I do sometimes....And more often then not, I wake myself up with a snort...don't play, you know you do too!

5. Your car breaks down on the side of the road, what do you do?

6. What's one item that has been on your wishlist lately?
Honestly?? A tanning membership. I think skin cancer and such but I'm from Oregon, where they grow 'em nice and white. And I have British skin, which is also nice and pale. There's just something about a slight glow on your skin that I think makes me look healthier, feel better and gives me just a boost of confidence :)

7. It's almost Summer (or winter if you live in the Southern Hemisphere), what are you looking forward to most?
I think I'm looking forward to summer dresses and Popsicles...and possibly a trip home?!?! And I mean possible...

7 Questions #2!

It's that time again!!!!

Gentri Lee posted her 7 questions again!
I'm really enjoying these because it gives me a chance to let you (the reader) get to know me better and I get to know myself!

So lets start with a picture:

I saw this on the side of a building in SoHo. So awesome huh?!

Lets start the questions!

1. What is your favorite App? (even if you don't have a smart phone I'm sure you've played around with someone else's)
I love all my camera apps. I don't have a professional camera to take pictures with but I love playing with the different effects...plus the camera on my phone is so much more convenient then toting a big camera around...ah, technology!

2. You have to come up with a book title on the spot- what is it? (don't think- just say!)
Curtain Up. I'm currently working on rewriting Othello for a summer play and I've been writing a lot of stage direction the pat two days...so it's stuck in ma brain!
